Daffodil Day

On Friday we celebrated Daffodil Day at EPS! I enjoyed wearing mufti and raising money for the Cancer Society. Here I am holding our daffodil flowers in class.

We Are Learning To find compound words

"We are learning to find compound words. I found it easy to find the word into because I say the two little words. I found it tricky to say inside because it had a tricky sound "e" at the end. I can ask the teachers and Mum for help."

I Am Learning About 2D and 3D shapes.

Room 10 and 11 have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes.

We made our shape with toothpicks and marshmallows, yum! After we made our shape we got to eat it.

I Am Learning To write a recount

I Am Learning To write a recount about blowing bubbles. 

I will be successful when I have:

• A title 
• An introduction
• Sequence words to begin my sentences
• Used the 5 W's (who, what, when, where, why)

"I am learning to write a recount about blowing bubbles. I find it easy when I was drawing the pictures. I find it hard to write the letters."

We Are Learning To solve addition and subtraction problems with the number 10.

"I am learning to solve problems with 10. I find it easy to do addition because I can use my fingers. I find it tricky to write some numbers. "

We Are Learning about rhyming words.

"We are learning about rhyming words. Rhyming words help us sound out words. It was tricky to read some beginning sounds in words. It was tricky to get the middle and last sound of the words."

We Are Learning To use describing words

For Mother’s Day we did some special Mother’s Day writing using Word Art.
